Job summary

The Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking a permanent fulltime Mechanic/Diesel Fitter to join the Charlton Depot fleet workshop. You will maintain heavy and light vehicles, plant and equipment, ensuring safety, cost efficiency and continuous operations across our workshop network.

Qualifications

• Minimum CertificateIII in Motor Mechanic/Diesel Fitter or equivalent from a recognised Tertiary Institution.
• WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Council’s Fleet in a safe, cost effective and operational manner.
• Carry out maintenance of heavy and light vehicles, plant and equipment ensuring safety and environmental standards.
• Support workshop operations and ensure compliance with WHS and workplace health and safety requirements.
