Job summary

ENL Transport in Haigslea, QLD is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our diverse fleet of commercial vehicles, trailers and dollies. This full-time role focuses on keeping vehicles safe and roadworthy.

You will work with advanced diagnostic equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and keep detailed service records. A current drivers licence and the ability to obtain heavy vehicle licences are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified automotive mechanic with focus on commercial vehicle maintenance.
• Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy vehicles.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to obtain heavy vehicle licences.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial vehicles, trailers, and dollies.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs.
• Collaborate with Fleet Manager to ensure roadworthy fleet.

ENL Transport is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team in Haigslea, QLD. As a full-time Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our diverse fleet of commercial vehicles, trailers & dolly's ensuring they operate efficiently and safely at all times.

What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on a wide range of commercial vehicles, including light and heavy-duty trucks, and trailers
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using advanced diagnostic equipment
• Carry out all repair work to the highest standards, completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
• Assist with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs
• Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to ensure the fleet is well-maintained and roadworthy

What we're looking for

• Qualified and experienced automotive mechanic with a focus on commercial vehicle maintenance
• Strong understanding of the diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy vehicles
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Current driver's licence and the ability to obtain relevant heavy vehicle licences
