Job summary

PrixCar Services in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our fleet operations. You will perform pre-delivery inspections, fit out vehicles per plan, and ensure safe vehicle movement within the workshop.

The role requires a manual driver’s license with experience servicing all makes and models, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. We offer competitive hourly rates and development opportunities within a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-delivery tasks and inspections per set instructions.
• Fit out vehicles as per plan or instructions.
• Safely manoeuvre vehicles in the workshop area.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure workmanship is up to standard.
• Complete and submit required records accurately and on time.

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Fleet Mechanic to join us within our Fleet operations, fantastic variety in work requirements and vehicles.

What you will do

• Pre-Delivery tasks/ inspections in accordance with set instructions/ standards
• Fit out (Customisation) of Vehicles as per plan and/or instructed
• Safe manoeuvring of vehicles in and around the compound and workshop
• Perform required quality checks and be accountable for the workmanship of performed work
• Ensure that required records are completed accurately and submitted on time

What you will bring

• Manual Drivers licence
• General automotive diagnostic and automotive accessory fitment experience
• Experience in servicing all makes and models
• A good eye for detail and problem-solving skills highly sought after
• Diagnostic problem solving ability

Nice to have

• Mechanical Trade (or part thereof) qualified preferred but not necessary
• Team Leader experience an advantage
• Dealership servicing experience ideal but not necessary
• Previous experience in Automotive Trade and Quality Systems
