Job summary

Hamilton Island Enterprises is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to lead a diverse fleet operation across island assets. You will oversee workshop activities, maintenance planning, and asset management to ensure high fleet availability for island operations.

Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll drive safety, compliance, and a high‑performing team culture while delivering quality servicing in a unique island environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in fleet or workshop operations.
• Strong knowledge of light/heavy vehicles, marine assets, and specialised equipment.
• Experience with maintenance planning and asset management systems.
• Ability to manage teams, priorities, and stakeholder relationships.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage workshop operations to maintain fleet assets.
• Ensure assets are serviced and repaired per standards and safety rules.
• Plan maintenance schedules to maximise fleet availability and minimise downtime.
• Maintain asset records and ensure accurate data in systems.
• Oversee regulatory inspections and rectify defects within timeframes.
• Coach and develop the team to foster a high-performing culture.
