About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Fleet/Maintenance Coordinator to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of Foxleigh’s mobile equipment fleet including haul trucks, dozers, diggers, graders, and ancillary equipment. This position is pivotal to the day-to-day running of our fleet, ensuring all maintenance activities are well-planned, compliant, and delivered to optimise availability, reliability, and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture in line with Foxleigh’s SHMS and QLD Coal Mining legislation.
- Ensure all mobile equipment maintenance complies with site procedures, statutory requirements, and OEM recommendations.
- Foster a culture of care, teamwork, and results across all maintenance teams.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and compliance checks on equipment and maintenance practices.
- Oversee day-to-day scheduling, coordination, and tracking of maintenance for the mobile fleet.
- Ensure contractors provide accurate and timely schedules and integrate into the site master plan.
- Provide guidance and support to crews and contractors, ensuring effective communication of work priorities.
- Drive accountability for schedule compliance and proactive maintenance practices.
- Monitor fleet performance, downtime, and reliability KPIs, reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent.
- Identify recurring issues, recommend solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, and service providers for warranty, breakdown response, and technical support.
- Maintain Pulse system data integrity including defect management, backlog control, and purchase requisition approvals.
About you:
- To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- Previous experience in fleet or maintenance coordination within mining or heavy industry (coal preferred).
- Strong knowledge of mobile equipment.
- Experience with work management systems (Pulse or similar).
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- A proactive mindset with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Ability to influence and engage across crews, contractors, and leadership.
