Job summary

K&S Corporation in Melbourne is seeking a Fleet Controller to keep our local fleet running safely, efficiently and on schedule. You will coordinate drivers, manage daily operations and keep customers informed.

Join a supportive team and gain exposure to fleet operations, planning, compliance and customer service. This is a day-shift role, 7:30am–3:30pm, with occasional weekend rostered work based on customer demand.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, fleet coordination or a similar operational environment.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse driver team.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good knowledge of Melbourne road network and understanding of Chain of Responsibility and fatigue requirements.
• Proactive, practical approach to problem-solving.
• Customer-focused mindset with flexibility to provide support outside standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily pickup and delivery schedules across local operations.
• Support 20–25 drivers, monitor progress and resolve operational issues.
• Keep customers informed and deliver a high standard of service.
• Maintain accurate manifests, records and system data.
• Make timely decisions to keep freight moving safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with drivers, customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
