Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Transport Allocation Specialist to plan and route a busy fleet in the Sydney metro area. You will allocate 150+ consignments daily across 20+ vehicles, coordinating drivers and operations to meet time-sensitive delivery windows and customer commitments.

You will optimise routes, monitor DIFOT performance, and use modern TMS and mapping tools to support efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven allocation experience in transport, logistics, freight distribution or similar high-volume environment.
• Experience in multi-drop delivery planning and time-critical freight.
• Strong knowledge of Sydney metro suburbs, traffic and routes.
• Confident driver management and clear stakeholder liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate 150+ consignments daily across 20+ vehicles.
• Optimize multi-drop routes to maximise fleet utilisation across Sydney metro and regional NSW.
• Manage high-priority, time-critical freight with strict delivery windows.
• Lead daily driver communication with clear run instructions and schedules.
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries balancing customer commitments, hours, and capacity.
• Resolve day-to-day operational challenges with agile problem-solving.
• Monitor delivery performance with focus on DIFOT and late deliveries.
• Review consignment details, handling instructions, and vehicle capacities using a TMS.
