Job summary

QGAir is seeking an experienced Training and Checking Pilot to support Queensland's fixed-wing operations. You will deliver pilot training and checking programs, maintain high flight safety standards, and operate single-pilot aircraft under IFR while ensuring CRM is applied.

You will contribute to training development, support emergency response activities, and help deliver critical frontline government services across Queensland.

Qualifications

• Current Australian CPL.
• Flight Instructor Rating (FIR) - CLR MEA.
• Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating (ME-CIR) with 4 renewals.
• Minimum 4000 hours total time.
• Minimum 3000 hours PIC.
• Minimum 200 hours Night PIC.
• Minimum 1000 hours Multi-Engine PIC.
• Minimum 500 hours Turbine PIC.
• Recent Fixed Wing Single-Pilot experience (within 2 years).
• ASIC holder or eligible.
• Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical.
• Australian passport (current).

Responsibilities

• Maintain flight safety standards and CRM in fixed-wing operations.
• Deliver pilot training and checking programs for single-pilot IFR operations.

What we're looking for:

Mandatory Requirements:

• Hold a current Australian Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL)
• Flight Instructor Rating (FIR) - CLR MEA
• Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating - 4 Renewals
• Minimum 4000 hours total time
• Minimum 3000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)
• Minimum 200 hours Night PIC
• Minimum 1000 hours Multi-Engine PIC
• Minimum 500 hours Turbine PIC
• Recent Fixed Wing Single-Pilot Experience (within 2 years)
• Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical
• Hold a current and valid Australian passport

Highly Desirable Requirements:

• Hold a current Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL)
• B360 Type Rating
• C208 (or similar) Experience
