Job summary

Herriot House Veterinary Surgery in Toowoomba, QLD, seeks a Veterinarian to join a well-established clinic. This fixed-term contract offers a diverse caseload, strong referral relationships, and a supportive, team-based environment that values work-life balance.

You’ll bring BVSc with QLD registration and at least 3 years of experience, with excellent communication and patient care. Generous CPD support, access to VetPartners’ Training Centre, and Sundays off complement the role.

Veterinarian – Toowoomba QLD

Herriot House Veterinary Surgery is a well-established, community-focused clinic in the heart of Toowoomba. For more than 30 years, we’ve been trusted to care for the pets of our region. With a diverse caseload, strong referral relationships, and a dedicated team, we combine modern veterinary excellence with genuine work-life balance.

About Our Clinic:

• Open Monday–Friday 8am–6pm and Saturday 8am–1pm
• Fixed term contract
• No Sundays, no after-hours, no on-call
• Fully equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and in-house pathology (plus fast turnaround external labs)
• 20-minute consults, with time blocked for procedures, phone calls, and notes
• We use a Team-Based Consulting model to optimise vets’ time and skills
• Broad surgical caseload including soft tissue, orthopedic, and dental procedures
• Supportive and experienced team of vets and nurses who value learning, collaboration, and high standards of care
