Job summary

Covalent Lithium is seeking a Technical Trainer to develop, deliver and improve fixed plant training at the Kwinana Refinery. You will coach Operations and Technical teams, conduct competency assessments, and build workforce capability to safely operate refinery equipment and systems.

The role is a permanent full-time position based at the Kwinana Refinery, with Monday to Friday work and emphasis on operational readiness and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience translating technical knowledge into practical training, coaching, assessments, and capability programs.
• Experience developing or reviewing operating procedures, training materials, competency assessments, and technical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of fixed plant processes, equipment, control systems, and safe operating practices in refinery/processing environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and deliver fixed plant training programs and resources for Process and Despatch Operators.
• Conduct training, coaching, mentoring, and competency assessments to ensure safe operation of fixed plant equipment.
• Identify training needs and develop solutions aligned with plant standards and business objectives.
• Deliver onboarding and readiness training focused on fixed plant systems and operating requirements.
• Maintain training records in line with regulatory and company requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Technical, Supervisors and L&D teams to reflect current plant practices.
