The Office of Sport NSW is seeking a Financial Accountant to maintain the fixed asset register, support statutory reporting obligations and coordinate asset valuations. You will work with auditors and external agencies to ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and NSW Treasury requirements, and contribute to process improvements.

Formación

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting and eligibility for membership of a recognised Australian accounting body (CA or CPA).
• Demonstrated experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting, and fixed asset management.

Responsabilidades

• Manage fixed asset accounting activities: additions, disposals, transfers, revaluations, reconciliations and stocktakes.
• Prepare asset-related financial reporting, support month-end and year-end processes, and contribute to statutory financial statements and audit requirements.
• Provide expert financial advice, interpret accounting standards and Treasury policies, and identify opportunities to improve financial and asset management practices.
