Job summary

Venues NSW is seeking an Accountant to support the Financial Controller with financial and management accounting across the NSW network. The role is based at the head office inside Allianz Stadium, Moore Park, and will work across NSW venues on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will prepare statutory statements, manage month-end close, and assist with external audits, while ensuring compliance and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 3+ years' experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting or financial reporting environments.
• Big 4 experience is ideal but not required, helpful for auditing experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements, subsidiary accounts and year-end reporting.
• Deliver month-end and year-end close activities including journals and accruals.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Support management reporting through analysis of P/L variances and financial trends.
• Assist with external audit requirements and provide audit documentation.
