Montaze Broz Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Fitter to join our Melbourne-based project team. You will carry out mechanical fitting, assembly, alignment and installation works to ensure racking systems are installed accurately, safely and to specification.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year of fitter experience, a Mechanical Fitting trade qualification, and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications with high attention to detail.

• At least 1 year of experience in a fitter/mechanical fitting role (site-based installation preferred).
• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting (or equivalent demonstrated work experience).
• Strong ability to read drawings and specifications and work to accurate measurements.
• High attention to detail, strong teamwork, and a reliable work ethic.

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, specifications and installation documentation.
• Set out, assemble, fit and align mechanical components and steel structures for racking systems.
• Measure, mark and check components with precision measuring equipment.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble and secure components.
• Conduct on-site installation activities including levelling and final fitment verification.
• Identify faults and rectify installation issues to meet technical requirements.
• Perform quality checks and report defects or non-conformances.
• Maintain tools and keep work areas clean and compliant with WHS.
• Work safely at heights and follow site safety procedures and permits.

Qualifications and experience

• Strong ability to interpret drawings and specifications and work to accurate measurements
  

• High attention to detail, strong teamwork, and a reliable work ethic
  

Licences and tickets

• Current driver’s licence
  

• White Card
  

• High Risk Work (HRW) licences (where applicable)
  

• Working at Heights, scissor lift and forklift tickets are highly desirable
  

Physical requirements

• Capacity to perform manual handling and physically demanding work in an active site environment
