Job summary

Goldenfields Water County Council – Temora NSW is seeking a motivated and skilled Fitter/Machinist to join our Production & Services team. This hands-on role supports the maintenance and reliability of essential water infrastructure across the region, combining workshop-based machining with field-based maintenance.

Reporting to the Mechanical Coordinator, you will maintain and improve mechanical assets, troubleshoot hydraulic systems, and work both independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• Trade-certified with Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade).
• Experience with pumps and hydraulic systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and machining skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve critical mechanical assets supporting water systems.
• Perform workshop-based machining and field maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with the Mechanical Coordinator and team to ensure reliability.
