Job summary

Agriculture Victoria's Policy and Programs team seeks a Policy Officer – First Peoples to provide authoritative advice and leadership on policy and projects across Agriculture Victoria and government. You will support secretariat, reporting and engagement for self-determination and First Peoples initiatives, promote cultural safety, and communicate related activities within the department.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal culture and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal Victorians.
• A relevant tertiary degree would be well regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide secretariat, reporting and engagement support for self-determination and First Peoples committees.
• Promote cultural safety and support related projects across Agriculture Victoria.
• Support communication of Self-determination activities within the department.
