Job summary

Pilot Assessments in Perth invites applications for a First Officer role in a high‑performance, multi‑crew environment across Western Australia and select routes beyond. You’ll operate on Network Aviation services, FIFO, charter and freight, adhering to Qantas Group SOPs and safety standards.

This position offers world‑class training, ongoing currency through recurrent checks, and the opportunity to work with a professional multi‑crew team based in Perth.

Qualifications

  • ATPL(A) or CPL(A) with passes in all Australian ATPL theory subjects.
  • Australian Multi-Engine Aeroplane Instrument Rating with IAP 2D and 3D endorsements.
  • Multi-crew MCC or equivalent airline multi-crew experience.
  • Current CASA Class 1 Medical.
  • English proficiency at ICAO Level 6.
  • Minimum 500 hours total flight time in fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Able to pass Qantas pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol tests; ASIC eligible.
  • Australian citizenship or unrestricted right to work in Australia or NZ (no sponsorship).
  • Current passport with at least 12 months validity and unrestricted access to Qantas ports.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as First Officer on Network Aviation services across Western Australia and beyond, including FIFO, charter and freight.
  • Conduct flights on behalf of Qantas, following Qantas Group SOPs and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively within a professional multi-crew operation.
  • Maintain currency through recurrent training and checking programs.

What you’ll do
  • Operate as First Officer on Network Aviation services across Western Australia and beyond, including FIFO, charter, and freight.
  • Conduct flights on behalf of Qantas, adhering to Qantas Group SOPs and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively within a professional multi-crew operation.
  • Maintain currency through recurrent training and checking programs.
What you’ll bring
  • Licence: Australian ATPL(A) OR Australian CPL(A) with passes in all Australian ATPL theory subjects.
  • Instrument rating: Australian Multi-Engine Aeroplane Instrument Rating with IAP 2D and 3D endorsements.
  • Multi-crew: MCC or experience in a multi-crew operation.
  • Medical: Current CASA Class 1 Medical.
  • English proficiency: ICAO Level 6 on CASA licence.
  • Experience: Minimum 500 hours total flight time in fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Security & compliance: Able to pass a Qantas pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test; eligible for an ASIC.
  • Travel documents: Current passport with unrestricted access to all Qantas ports of call and at least 12 months validity.
  • Work rights: Australian citizenship or unrestricted right to work in Australia or New Zealand (no sponsorship).
Desirable
  • Type rating on A320 / F100 / E190.
  • Recent time and recency on the applicable type.
  • Recent experience on an airline jet type.
  • Additional multi-crew jet experience.

Licence taxonomy: ATPL (ICAO) / Frozen ATPL commonly recognised.
