Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a First Nations Clinician (Social Worker, Psychologist or Counsellor) for a hybrid, full-time role in NSW. You will provide culturally informed mental health support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals through short-term counselling and assist organisations with workplace wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience providing mental health support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals.
• Minimum of three years counselling experience.
• Qualifications in counselling, psychology or social work.
• Professional registration with a health professional body (AHPRA/AASW/ACA/PACFA).

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term counselling to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
• Offer culturally informed guidance to organisations to improve workplace wellbeing.
• Facilitate group sessions and training on mental health, well-being and culture.
• Design and deliver educational training packages for clients.
• Ensure culturally sensitive services for Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal people.
• Travel within the state and interstate as required.
• Manage client risk and clinical presentations in a short-term framework.
• Collaborate with colleagues and access peer consultation and supervision.
