The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority is creating leadership roles in its technology divisions. Successful candidates will have extensive ICT management experience and will lead teams responsible for digital services and technology infrastructure. The Department is restructuring its digital and technology leadership team to optimise and maximise its technology resources and ensure the Department is set up to meets its future digital and data needs. The new structure will have three First Assistant Secretaries reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer:
We are looking for dynamic and collaborative technology professionals for the Enterprise Technology Services Division and Digital Services Division roles. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a joint team to reshape the Department’s digital and data operating model in a unique and complex technology environment.
This process will also be used to create a merit pool for future vacancies.
Enterprise Technology Services Division
As First Assistant Secretary of Enterprise Technology Services Division, you will lead a large and diverse team responsible for ICT service management, technology infrastructure operations, cyber security operations, Cyber advice and delivering complex operational technology capabilities. You will also undertake the duties of a Chief Information Security Officer.
The Enterprise Technology Services Division is expected to comprise of around six branches. The work ranges from delivering and supporting ICT infrastructure and software services; enabling operational capability through the provision, supporting and sustaining technology to operational areas responsible for ABF frontline activities; the provision of 24/7 cyber operations and network operations oversight; incident, problem, change management; providing specific expertise in delivering ICT sourcing and procurement programs and projects and support and maintenance of the Department’s corporate, case management and service management systems.
Digital Services
As First Assistant Secretary of Digital Services Division, you will lead a large and diverse team responsible for the delivery and sustainment of digital platforms and products for the Department, including the ABF.
The Digital Delivery Division is expected to consist of five branches. The work ranges from oversight and governance of ICT programs that enable digital transformation within the Department; enabling the effective and efficient delivery of Visa and Citizenship programs; providing support and enhancements to more than 90 critical border management systems; working closely with policy and operational areas to expand and enhance business systems functionality and the sustainment of technology systems on behalf of other agencies.
