Fire Suppression Technicians – Entry-Level & Experienced

Firesafe24 is a dynamic and fast-growing fire protection company, specialising in the installation of fire suppression systems for heavy-duty equipment. We deliver premium fire protection solutions, including new installations, maintenance and servicing, and comprehensive fire risk assessments.

The Opportunity

Firesafe24 is extending an Expression of Interest for experienced and entry level Mobile Systems Fire Suppression Technicians to join our high-performing, fast-paced team in the Bowen Basin region. We have multiple full-time opportunities available across the Bowen Basin region with multiple rosters available including 7 on / 7 off and 5 on / 2 off lifestyle roster.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Install, service, and inspect fire suppression systems in accordance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Diagnose, trouble shoot and repair system faults or component failures
  • Identify non-compliant items or system defects
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork, service reports, and compliance documentation
  • Provide training and guidance to customers on the correct use and maintenance of installed equipment
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through prompt, professional communication and site callouts

What You’ll Bring

Experienced Technicians

  • Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection & Testing (CPP20521)
  • Sound knowledge or willingness to learn Australian Standards (including AS1851 -2012 )
  • Proven experience with mobile suppression system installation and servicing

Entry Level Technicians

  • Knowledge of fire suppression systems
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or similar

All Staff

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, safety aware with a strong attention to detail
  • Working at Heights, Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical are desirable but not essential
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to fault find and provide practical solutions
  • Strong communicator with exceptional customer service skills
  • Willingness to travel to remote or regional sites
