Job summary

Firelec are currently seeking a Qualified Sprinkler Fitter to carry out service and maintenance of fire systems within the Rockhampton region. You will perform on-site preventative and remedial maintenance, installation, servicing, and repair of fire suppression systems while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires a valid Australian manual driver’s license, pre-employment medical, and QBCC licensing.

Qualifications

• Blue/White Card (Qld) is required.
• QBCC Licensing is required.
• Experience in the fire industry preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment medical.
• Valid Australian manual driver’s license needed.

Job description

Firelec are currently seeking a Qualified Sprinkler Fitter to carry out service and maintenance of fire systems within the Rockhampton region.

In this role, you will work to provide preventative maintenance, resolve faults and mechanical issues, backed by a supportive and highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, reliable, customer and safety focused technician.

The successful applicant will have experience in the Fire Industry, and hold the appropriate license's and be responsible for, but not limited to:

• On-site technical preventative and remedial maintenance
• Installation, service, and Maintenance of Fire suppression systems
• Servicing and Repairing of Fire suppression Systems.
• Maintaining strong organisational and communication skills with customers
• Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and problem solve.
• Maintaining awareness to adhere with individual site WH&S policies.
• Ability to liaise with internal staff effectively regarding any work changes and schedule updates.
• General housekeeping and document control

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Have a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Be able to undergo and pass a pre-employment medical.
• Hold a valid Australian manual driver's license.
• Ability to form part of the on/call roster, where required.
• Previous Fire suppression industry knowledge, or basic understanding -desirable.

The successful applicant will:

• Qld Construction Blue/White card.
• Hold a valid Australian manual driver's license.
• Hold the relevant QBCC Licencing. Special Hazards advantageous.
• Experience with wet & dry fire sprinkler systems, fire hydrant systems and fire pump sets.
• Extensive Knowledge of the Australian Standards for maintenance and installations.
• Will be able to utilise electronic devices to support our Fire Maintenance Systems.
• Will be able to provide exceptional customer service.
• Have a strong emphasis on safety and the ability to comply with all Standards & WHS legislative requirements.
