Job summary

Connexus Recruitment's client, a leading fire safety specialist in Australia, is hiring a Fire Safety Engineer (Grad/Intermediate) for Sydney CBD. You will work on BCA non-compliance assessments, performance-based fire engineered solutions, occupant and smoke movement, and review design documentation against the Fire Safety Strategy.

You'll benefit from a strong mentoring structure and a structured training program that can take you to a senior role, with potential funding for a masters in fire

Qualifications

• 3+ years of local fire safety experience.
• Motivation to grow and ability to talk with clients.
• Knowledge of local codes and regulators from day one.

Responsibilities

• BCA assessments to identify non-compliances.
• Performance-based fire engineered solutions.
• Consider occupant and smoke movement.
• Review design documentation against Fire Safety Strategy.
• Construction reviews and peer reviews of fire engineering.
• Interim fire safety strategies for staged occupancy during construction.
