Job summary
Chubb Fire & Security Australia in Mackay is seeking a qualified Electrical Technician to join our fire protection team. You will be responsible for service maintenance, installation, modification and repair of fire detection systems across Central Queensland.
Based at Mackay, you will survey customer premises, advise on suitable fire safety solutions and provide technical support for on-call technicians while upholding Australian Standards and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Current QLD Electrical Licence is required.
- QBCC Licence (Electrical Stream, Special Hazards) is preferred.
- Ability to obtain Standard 11/Coal Board Medical and National Police Check.
- Experience in fire protection or electrical services is desirable.
- Good time management and customer focus.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain fire detection systems.
- Survey premises and recommend fire protection solutions.
- Provide technical assistance for on-call technicians.
- Assist with modifications and repairs to fire protection equipment.
- Adhere to Australian Standards relevant to fixed fire protection equipment.
