Job summary

Perigon Group in Sydney is seeking a qualified CA/CPA (or part-qualified) with exposure to property, development or construction to join the finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage month-end close, maintain the GL across entities, and contribute to WIP and project cost analysis.

Responsibilities include BAS/IAS lodgement, financial reporting, and timely AP/AR processing to support project managers and the wider finance function.

Qualifications

• Requirement: CA/CPA with exposure to property, development or construction
• 1st movers from Chartered firms welcome
• Tax compliance experience desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
• Maintain the general ledger across multiple entities, including property settlements
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with accounting and reporting of Work-in-Progress (WIP), project accruals, and cost allocations
• Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and regulatory returns
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to support Project Managers and Finance team
• Review and ensure timely Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions

Reporting into the Finance Manager this role will take part in broad accounting tasks across the group's corporate entities as well as take part in managing financials and delivery of analysis on it's development projects, with the opportunity to part with development managers;

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations

We are seeking an astute, qualified (or part qualified) CA/CPA with experience from the property, development or construction sector. Ideally you will have experience in tax compliance - however this is not essential
