Canaccord Genuity is seeking a Financial Planner to join our Melbourne Wealth Management team. You’ll work with advisers to understand client circumstances and develop tailored strategies across superannuation, investments and retirement planning.

The role offers exposure to research, modelling, and documentation while building confidence in presenting advice. You don’t need years of experience—just a solid foundation, relevant planning qualifications or nearing completion, and a drive to grow.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in financial planning and helping clients achieve better financial outcomes.
• Near completion of financial planning qualifications or relevant professional year.
• Experience in financial advice, associate or paraplanning roles, or early advisory career.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and an organized approach.
• Curiosity, initiative and willingness to ask questions.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your work.
• Collaborative and approachable style.

Responsibilities

• Develop tailored financial strategies with advisers.
• Model planning strategies across superannuation, investments, retirement planning, taxation and wealth transfer.
• Prepare Statements of Advice and related documentation.
• Work closely with advisers to understand clients and develop suitable advice solutions.
• Contribute to client discussions and continually grow knowledge of regulatory developments.
