Job summary

Aware Super is seeking a dedicated Financial Planner to support our 1.1 million members from our Melbourne office. The role requires weekly in-person client meetings, with one day of travel to Geelong (reimbursed), and a focus on trusted financial guidance for retirement outcomes.

You will work with the Financial Planning Network to deliver high-quality advice, prepare SOAs, and ensure your guidance aligns with regulatory standards while fostering long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Licensed to provide personal financial advice under Australian regulations (AFSL).
• Educational qualifications that meet FASEA standards.
• Experience and tenure in the financial planning industry.
• Strong understanding of legal and compliance frameworks in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Build enduring client relationships and attract/retain clients.
• Guide clients toward retirement goals through personal financial planning.
• Always act in clients' best interests and advocate for their financial well‑being.
• Serve as a client-facing member of the Financial Planning Network with flexible engagement (on-site/off-site, in person, by phone, video).
• Prepare Statements of Advice (SOAs) with compliance and advisory excellence.
• Collaborate with Client Servicing to elevate client care and outcomes.

Your New Role

At Aware Super, your role as a Financial Planner goes beyond the norm; it's about nurturing trust and ensuring the financial well-being of our members and clients. This role will be based in our Melbourne office and will be required to work from the office 3 days per week to meet member appointment requests.

Please note this role will require 1 day of travel to our Geelong office which will be reimbursed.

In this pivotal role as a Financial Planner in our fund, you will;

• Cultivate enduring client relationships, effectively attracting, servicing, and retaining clients;
• Engage in insightful conversations, guiding our clients towards achieving their aspirations for a secure retirement;
• Always act in the best interest of our clients, playing the role of an advocate for their financial well-being;
• Serve as a key client-facing member of the Financial Planning Network, offering flexible consultation options to accommodate every client's lifestyle (on-site and off-site, in person, by phone and video conferencing);
• Diligently prepare Statements of Advice (SOAs), upholding our commitment to compliance and advisory excellence; and
• Collaborate with our Client Servicing team to elevate the standard of client care, ensuring optimal outcomes for all.
