Mars Recruitment is seeking a Finance Operations Accountant in Sydney to own day-to-day finance operations for a high-volume environment. You will report to the CFO and help build scalable processes while partnering with the CEO and leadership team.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years' experience in finance operations or a similar accounting role.
• Strong reconciliation and reporting capabilities.

• A process improvement and automation mindset.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management ability.
• CA/CPA qualifications or studies in progress will be viewed favourably but are not essential.

A fast-growing financial services business is seeking a Finance Operations Accountant to join its high-performing finance team.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the CFO, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations of a high-volume business where accuracy, deadlines and continuous improvement are critical.

This role sits at the centre of the organisation and offers a unique blend of finance operations, reporting, analysis and process improvement. You'll have direct exposure to the CFO, CEO and broader leadership team while helping build scalable processes to support future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily settlements and fund allocations
• Perform trust and bank reconciliations
• Prepare management reports, KPIs and cashflow reporting
• Support FP&A and financial analysis activities
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives
• Manage recovery invoicing and receivables activities

About You

You'll bring experience from a finance operations, trust accounting, banking or high-volume transactional finance environment and enjoy working in a fast-paced business where you can genuinely make an impact.
