Job summary

AustralianSuper is seeking an Advice Consultant in our Guidance and Advice team for a 12-month fixed-term role in Melbourne. You will be the key contact for members seeking financial advice, assess needs and guide them to appropriate pathways, making options clear and accessible.

You’ll coordinate appointments, manage leads, and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth handovers and positive service experiences.

Qualifications

• RG146 qualification or equivalent in superannuation advisory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship management.
• Ability to assess member circumstances and identify appropriate advice.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and data integrity.
• Comfort with using multiple systems and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Engage with members by telephone, web chat, and written correspondence to understand financial advice needs.
• Assess circumstances and determine the most appropriate advice solution (internal, external or digital).
• Explain options, services and processes clearly to enable informed decisions.
• Coordinate adviser appointments, bookings, rescheduling and allocations.
• Manage member leads and enquiry queues with timely follow-up.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, requirements, referrals and outcomes.
• Collaborate with contact centre, operations and advice teams to resolve enquiries.
• Contribute to process improvements and adoption of new technologies.
