Job summary

Penske Australia in Sydney is seeking a DPG Financial Business Analyst to support the financial management and commercial performance of Defence contracts. Based in Kings Park, you will work with Platform and Project Managers, the Finance and Commercial teams, and Commonwealth stakeholders to analyse in-service contract financial activities and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Commerce.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a financial analysis or commercial environment.
• Strong analytical capability with well-developed financial reporting skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and variance reporting.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and Commonwealth stakeholders.
• Capability to obtain Defence security clearance commensurate with contract requirements.

Job description

As the DPG Financial Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting the financial management and commercial performance of Penske's Defence contracts. Based in Kings Park, you'll work closely with Platform and Project Managers, the Finance and Commercial teams, and Commonwealth stakeholders.

You'll analyse and report on in-service contract financial activities, support project and contract budgets, develop pricing and financial frameworks, and provide financial analysis to support effective decision-making. You'll also help develop and consolidate financials through the TCIM process, integrating BI data to support accurate and timely Commonwealth payment claims.

This is a varied role with exposure across financial analysis, forecasting, pricing, commercial activities and Defence price management, providing an opportunity to make a real contribution in an evolving Defence market.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Commerce.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a financial analysis or commercial environment, with pricing experience preferred.
• Strong analytical capability with well-developed financial reporting skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and variance reporting.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and Commonwealth stakeholders.
• Demonstrated professionalism, commitment and ability to consistently deliver results in a timely manner.
• Ability to obtain a Defence security clearance commensurate with contract requirements - Australian citizenship is required.
