NACBA in Sydney is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our well-established investment business, working closely with the CFO in a North Sydney location. The role offers broad exposure across financial accounting, corporate entities, investments, compliance, and treasury activities in a professional environment.

The ideal candidate is CA/CPA-qualified or progressing, with 3+ years in Family Office/Financial Services, strong Excel and stakeholder management skills, and a proactive,

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion.
• 3+ years' experience in Family Office or Financial Services.
• Strong financial accounting and compliance experience.
• Advanced Excel capability.

Responsibilities

• Monthly financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing statutory compliance including BAS, payroll tax and lodgements
• End-to-end payroll oversight, including STP, PAYG and superannuation
• Cash flow management and treasury support
• Accounts payable and receivable oversight
• Maintaining accurate general ledger records
• Supporting entity administration and governance requirements
• Liaising with external auditors, tax advisers and other stakeholders
• Assisting with investment accounting and reporting activities

Financial Accountant - North Sydney - $110-130K + Super

Working closely with the CFO, this role offers broad exposure across financial accounting, corporate entities, investments, compliance, and treasury activities within a highly professional environment. This position is ideally suited to a Financial Accountant coming directly from a Family Office, Wealth Management, Private Equity, Investment Management, or broader Financial Services environment who enjoys a hands-on role and wants to be part of a team with genuine work-life balance.

Your new role

• Monthly financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing statutory compliance including BAS, payroll tax and other lodgements
• End-to-end payroll oversight, including STP, PAYG and superannuation
• Cash flow management and treasury support
• Accounts payable and receivable oversight
• Maintaining accurate general ledger records
• Supporting entity administration and corporate governance requirements
• Liaising with external auditors, tax advisers and other stakeholders
• Assisting with investment accounting and reporting activities
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives and ad hoc finance projects

What you'll need to succeed

• CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion-3+ years' experience within a Family Office or Financial Services organisation
• Strong financial accounting and compliance experience
• Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced Excel capability
• A proactive, hands-on approach and strong sense of ownership
