Job summary

Roper Gulf Regional Council in Katherine, NT is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Financial Management and Planning team. You will prepare monthly and annual accounts, BAS and FBT returns, manage fixed assets and grants, and perform balance sheet reconciliations.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will liaise with external auditors to complete the annual audit, provide expert advice on accounting policy and procedures, and support management in developing systems that

Job description

Roper Gulf Regional Council is seeking an experienced and technically strong Financial Accountant to join our Financial Management and Planning team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the financial sustainability of our Council and support the delivery of essential services across the region.

As the Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in the preparation of monthly and annual accounts, BAS and FBT returns, fixed asset and grant financial management, and balance sheet reconciliations. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will liaise with external auditors to complete the annual audit, provide expert advice on accounting policy and procedures, and support management in developing systems that improve how the Finance business unit operates.

This is a Full-time, ongoing position based in Katherine, NT.

Salary & Benefits:

• Base Salary:$106,587.90 to $117,277.58 per annum (depending on experience)
