Job description

The Financial Specialist is an experienced, senior professional who will work alongside other Omni employees to deliver services and expertise to a key client. As part of an embedded team, the staff member will work full-time to provide specialised services that assist the development of key capabilities within a high security environment. They will provide business financial analytical and management, as well as procurement advice and services for the client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of the agreed SoW to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Monitor, manage and maintain positive client sentiment.
  • Manage time and resources to enable efficient completion of the required tasks.

Essential Requirements
The below key requirements are required to be demonstrated by all employees to Omni.
  • Be an Australian Citizen.
  • Hold and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
  • Have excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.

In addition, this role will require
  • TSPV Australian Government Security Clearance (essential).
  • A strong understanding of business finances, including:
    • Federal Government and/or Defence financial policies.
    • Company financial structures.
    • Commercial financial management and small business accountancy.
    • Company/commercial entity legislation and compliance matters.
    • Taxation.
    • Financial risk, fraud and forensic accountancy.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems, consider risks and formulate creative solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent literacy, verbal and written communication skills, very high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence and constructively engage with stakeholders.
