Job summary

Torres Strait Island Regional Council (TSIRC) seeks a finance support professional in Cairns or the Torres Strait region to manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and procurement tasks. Reporting to the Financial Operations Accountant, you will contribute to the accuracy of financial data and timely processing of transactions.

The role focuses on AP, AR, and procurement with scope to support other teams during peak periods while upholding TSIRC values and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance or accounting support within a large organisation.
• Exposure to payroll, AP and AR processes.
• Certificate III level qualifications in Business Admin or related finance discipline.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Support procurement activities and reconcile financial data.
• Prepare reports and assist with projects as required.
