St Therese's Catholic Primary School in Queensland is seeking a proactive Finance Officer for a term-time continuing role of 38 hours per week, commencing January 2027. You will manage financial operations, assist senior management with confidential information and maintain robust filing and reporting systems.

The role requires strong communication, discretion, and a commitment to the Catholic ethos. Tertiary qualification at Certificate level or equivalent is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience with financial management and school administration.
• Ability to handle confidential information and discreet communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior management.
• Commitment to Catholic school ethos and culture.
• Tertiary qualification at Certificate level or equivalent (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Practising confidentiality in relation to all aspects of the role.
• Providing administrative support to senior management of the school where discretion and judgement are required, including: initiating and handling correspondence (which may include confidential correspondence); monitoring telephone calls; and establishing and/or maintaining working filing systems.
• Preparing and analysing financial information to trial balance; budgets; profit and loss reports; balance sheet reports; trading activity reports; cash management analysis; purchasing control procedures; prepare monthly summaries of debtors and creditors ledger transactions and reconciliations.
• Applying knowledge of advanced functions of computer software packages and managing data.
• Training staff classified at lower levels by means of personal instruction and demonstration.
• Understanding of and a commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school.
