Airport Development Group (ADG) seeks a Projects Cost Officer (Finance) to join Corporate Services at Darwin International Airport. You will partner with project managers to provide reliable cost information and support financial decision-making across ADG's capital portfolio.

You will monitor budgets, update forecasts, raise purchase orders, and ensure compliance with policies. Strong Excel and ERP skills (TechnologyOne preferred) and a accounting qualification are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years post-qualification experience in asset/capital project environment.
• Strong cost control principles and financial systems knowledge.
• Experience with TechnologyOne ERP preferred.
• Eligible to obtain Aviation Security Identification Card.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate financial information on all active projects.
• Develop and update project budgets and forecasts, including contingencies.
• Monitor expenditure, analyze variances, identify risks.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and accounting standards.
• Raise POs, receipting and invoice matching.
• Prepare monthly reports and project cost updates.
• Support audits and maintain robust financial controls.

About The Role

Do you have a strong background in Accounts Administration or Finance Support and are you looking to advance your career within a corporate finance environment, working closely with a project team?

Airport Development Group (ADG) is seeking an experienced Projects Cost Officer (Finance) to join our Corporate Services team, based at Darwin International Airport. This position plays a key role in providing accurate and reliable cost control for ADG's capital projects, supporting confident decision-making and financial reporting across all stages of project delivery.

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner - Assets, you'll work closely with Project Managers, Finance, and senior stakeholders to monitor project expenditure, manage budgets and forecasts, and ensure financial discipline across ADG's capital portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Partnering with Project Managers and Finance to provide accurate, timely financial information on all active projects
• Developing, managing, and updating project budgets and forecasts, including contingency and capitalisation processes
• Monitoring expenditure and commitments, analysing cost trends, and identifying potential risks or variances
• Ensuring compliance with financial policies, delegations, and accounting standards
• Raising and managing purchase orders, receipting, and invoice matching
• Preparing monthly reports, KPIs, and project cost updates
• Supporting internal and external audit processes and maintaining robust financial controls

About You

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field
• 3+ years' post-qualification experience, ideally within a large asset or capital project environment
• Strong understanding of project cost control principles and financial systems
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and practical experience using corporate ERP systems (TechnologyOne experience desirable)
• Eligibility to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (includes police record check)
