Job summary

Airport Development Group (ADG) is seeking an experienced Projects Cost Officer (Finance) to join our Corporate Services team. This role provides accurate cost control for ADG’s capital projects and supports financial reporting across project delivery.

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner – Assets, you’ll work with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to monitor expenditure, manage budgets and forecasts, and ensure financial discipline across ADG’s capital portfolio.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years’ post-qualification experience, ideally within large asset or capital project environment.
• Strong understanding of project cost control principles and financial systems.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and practical experience using ERP systems (TechnologyOne experience desirable).
• Eligibility to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASID) and background check.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers and Finance to provide accurate, timely financial information on all active projects.
• Develop, manage, and update project budgets and forecasts, including contingency and capitalisation processes.
• Monitor expenditure and commitments, analyse cost trends, and identify potential risks or variances.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, delegations, and accounting standards.
• Raise and manage purchase orders, receipting, and invoice matching.
• Prepare monthly reports, KPIs, and project cost updates.
• Support internal and external audit processes and maintain robust financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Partnering with Project Managers and Finance to provide accurate, timely financial information on all active projects.
