Job summary

Randstad Australia is recruiting for a Finance Officer ASO3 in Adelaide CBD on a short-term contract ($47.35 per hour + super). The role focuses on accurate financial processing and timely reporting for a government client.

You will reconcile accounts, manage month-end processes, assist with budgeting, and support management reporting. Tertiary accounting qualifications and strong Excel skills are expected, with government experience desirable.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of financial management and reporting processes, budget formulation, forecastng and analysis of variances.
• Experience in budgeting and year end tasks
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance
• High accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
• Work experience in government (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage the month end processing transactional cycle - Including general ledger maintenance, work order creation, creation of journals and accrual posting, daily cash and proactively follow up invoicing issues with business units
• Enter business units accruals, including checking for reasonableness; automating accruals where possible
• Assist with budget preparation, preparing budget packs, set up monthly management reports

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Officer ASO3 ($47.35 per hour + super) with one of our state government clients for a short term contract with possibility of extension.

Duration: 3 months + pot. for extension

Location: Adelaide CBD

Pay rate: $47.35 per hour + super
