Cullen Jewellery in Melbourne is seeking a Finance Officer to run the day-to-day transactional engine across multi-entity, multi-currency operations, ensuring accuracy of accounts payable, bank reconciliations, card management and expense processing.

You'll support month-end close, assist with journals, asset register, and audits, while identifying automation opportunities and working closely with Payroll on statutory contributions.

Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years in accounts, bookkeeping, or finance operations handling high volumes.
• Hands-on with Xero and advanced Excel or Sheets.
• Strong understanding of core financial processes, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and expense management.
• Excellent attention to detail and discretion with confidential financial data.
• Clear, confident communication and a collaborative approach.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsabilidades

• Process foreign and local supplier invoices, reconcile vendor statements, prepare multi-entity batch payments, and perform daily bank and sales reconciliations.
• Administer corporate cards (Airwallex), manage the expense claim and travel request lifecycle, and ensure accurate coding ahead of month-end close.
• Assist with monthly journal entries and month end reconciliations, maintain the fixed asset register, and compile documentation for audits.
• Administer employee benefits across jurisdictions in line with People & Culture frameworks, liaising with payroll on pay and statutory contributions.
• Monitor finance mailboxes, resolve stakeholder queries, and identify manual tasks to streamline through automation.

About the position:

The Finance Officer runs the day-to-day transactional engine of our multi-entity, multi-currency finance function. In this role, you will own the accuracy and timeliness of accounts payable, bank reconciliations, card management, and expense processing across our global footprint. As Cullen scales toward an expanded international showroom network, you will play a central role in maintaining sleek, efficient finance operations, identifying automation opportunities, and supporting smooth month-end and compliance processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Process foreign and local supplier invoices, reconcile vendor statements, prepare multi-entity batch payments, and perform daily bank and sales reconciliations.
• Administer corporate cards (Airwallex), manage the end-to-end expense claim and travel request lifecycle, and ensure accurate coding ahead of month-end close.

• Monitor finance mailboxes, resolve stakeholder queries promptly, and proactively identify manual, repetitive tasks to streamline through automation.

What we are seeking:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounts, bookkeeping, or finance operations role handling high transactional volumes accurately.
• Hands-on proficiency with Xero (or similar cloud accounting software) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Solid understanding of core financial processes, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and expense management.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and absolute discretion when handling confidential financial data.
• Clear, confident communication skills with a collaborative, proactive approach to following up across the business.
