Job summary

Agrifutures is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day financial operations across our group of entities in Australia. You will drive governance, reporting accuracy and financial performance.

This hands-on leadership role requires broad expertise in payroll, AP/AR, month-end processes, budgeting and strategic planning, with a focus on risk management and stakeholder partnership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Finance Manager or senior accounting role.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, payroll, AP/AR and month-end processes.
• Experience managing month-end reporting, reconciliations and statutory obligations.
• Proficient in cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting and working capital analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing functions.
• Lead month-end and year-end financial processes, ensuring timely reporting.
• Prepare, review and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage BAS, superannuation, and statutory reporting obligations.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and liquidity to support performance.
• Oversee supplier payments and customer receivables, including collections.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across the group.
• Develop and strengthen financial controls, policies and procedures to minimise risk.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and governance frameworks.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide financial insights for decision-making.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning initiatives.
