Gough Recruitment is supporting an established investment group in Sydney to recruit a hands-on Finance Manager. You will link fund finance with broader operational finance, working closely with senior leadership, investment and asset management teams.

The role emphasizes detail, asset proximity and cross-functional impact, across multiple entities and complex reporting. CA/CPA is required, with 6+ years in finance and strong budgeting, forecasting and cash flow skills.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience across finance/accounting.
• Experience within funds, investment management, private equity or related sectors.
• Strong operational accounting alongside fund exposure.
• CA or CPA qualification is essential.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
• Experience across multiple entities/trusts/investment structures.
• Hands-on approach in a smaller environment with attention to detail.
• Sage experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Managing financial reporting across funds, trusts, SPVs and corporate entities (month-end, management reporting, financial statements).
• Overseeing fund accounting, cash flow, distributions, capital movements, budgets and forecasting.
• Owning day-to-day finance operations beyond fund accounting.
• Collaborating with investment and asset management teams on acquisitions and asset performance.
• Managing tax, audit, compliance and statutory reporting with external advisers.
• Improving financial processes, systems, reporting and controls as the business grows.
