Job summary

Perigon Group is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager for a growing Australian retail business with a global footprint. You will report to the Financial Controller and oversee the month-end process across multiple entities, driving accuracy, balance sheet integrity and insightful commentary.

Based in Alexandria/Rosebery with a hybrid WFH option, the role blends financial accounting and financial planning & analysis for local and overseas entities.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CPA/CA).
• Proven people leadership experience.
• Retail experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end for all entities including journals and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management pack with sales, variance analysis and commentary.
• Handle GST, FBT, Income Tax and Transfer Pricing compliance.
• Support budgeting and 24-month rolling forecast.
• Prepare cashflow reporting.
• Coordinate audits and consolidate financial statements.
• Provide business insights and recommendations through finance partnering.
• Drive process and systems improvements.
• Lead a small finance team and foster proactive culture.

Exciting role incorporating both financial accounting and financial planning for multiple entities both local and overseas. This role is commercially focused and will suit someone with strong business partnering experience, as well as an accounting background to manage key deadlines.

The role

Reporting into the Financial Controller, this is an excellent, broad role that suits a hands on Finance Manager and includes the following tasks:

• Responsible for the month end process of all entities including: month end journals posting, accounts classifications, credit card and expenses reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliations as well as investigate and resolve any anomalies
• Prepare monthly management pack, including sales, variance analysis and commentary
• Prepare all monthly, quarterly and annually taxes, including GST, FBT, Income Tax and Transfer Pricing
• Support and manage the budgeting and 24-month rolling forecasting process
• Prepare Cashflow reporting
• Drive the team in preparation of an accurate audit including consolidation of financial statements
• Business partnering and providing insights and recommendations
• Support continuous business processes and systems improvement
• Manage a small finance team and establish a proactive and diligent culture
