Job summary

A leading fintech firm in Sydney is seeking a qualified accountant to manage financial processes across multiple entities. This mid-senior level position involves budget management, producing management reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Qualifications

Qualified accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent) with a tertiary degree.
Strong month-end reporting and financial statements experience.

Responsibilities

Manage the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for all ANZ departments.
Produce accurate management accounts on a monthly basis.

What You’ll Be Working On

Manage the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for all ANZ departments
Produce accurate management accounts on a monthly basis to the agreed timetable
Carry out variance analysis against budgets, forecasts and prior month with written commentaries
Ensure accurate and up-to-date balance sheet reconciliations are produced and maintained
Manage month end regulatory reporting for all ANZ entities
Receive and organise payments of supplier invoices
Authorise payroll, client and supplier payments on banking platforms
Maintain and develop appropriate financial control procedures to ensure accurate recording of transactions in the Company’s financial reporting systems
Coordinate and manage year end statutory audit
Prepare end of year statutory accounts for ANZ entities and assist with auditors’ queries and deliverables

What Type Of Person Will Be Successful

You're a qualified accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent) with a tertiary degree. Your communication skills set you apart, you can explain complex financial concepts clearly and build relationships across different departments and seniority levels.

Your technical Excel skills are strong, and you're comfortable working with various financial systems such as Oracle HFM. You’ll have strong month end reporting and financial statements experience with the eligibility to work in Australia permanently.
