The Lycetts Insurance Brokers, part of Benefact Group, seeks a Finance Manager to join our Newcastle office. This role spans financial reporting, accounting, controls, compliance and business partnering within a growing financial services organisation.

You’ll work with senior finance leaders to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information, supporting strategic decisions and continuous improvement across the business.

Formación

• Experience in a finance or accounting role.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Experience in accounting processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modelling).
• Good analytical skills and methodical approach.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Executives, Group Finance, Operational Teams and key stakeholders to provide accurate financial insight and support business decision-making.
• Prepare and review monthly accounts, supporting schedules, and variance analysis to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and help strengthen financial controls and processes.
• Assist with statutory reporting requirements, year-end accounts preparation, and external audit activities; support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with reliable data.
• Prepare documentation and evidence for internal and external audits, supporting the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Support payroll processing, payroll journal postings, and HMRC compliance activities including VAT, PAYE, National Insurance, and P11D reporting.

What you'll be doing

• Perform client money and bank reconciliations, helping to maintain compliance with FCA CASS requirements and treasury processes.

What you'll need to have

• Experience in a finance or accounting role.

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.

• Experience in accounting processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modelling).

• Good analytical skills and methodical approach.

• Accuracy, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

• Clear communicator able to work with stakeholders at different levels.

• Ability to manage workload to meet deadlines.
