Job summary

Lumia Care is seeking a Finance Manager to lead our finance team, drive reporting accuracy and strengthen financial governance across aged care, disability and community services. You will partner with executives and operations to enable informed decision‑making and business performance improvement.

The role focuses on financial integrity, month‑end processes, system enhancements and continuous improvement within a purpose‑driven national healthcare organisation.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA qualification is required.
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager or senior accounting leader.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Experience leading Accounts Payable and finance operations teams.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on leadership position responsible for overseeing financial accounting, month‑end reporting, accounts payable operations, financial controls and business performance analysis.

You’ll work across multiple service lines including aged care, home care, disability and community services, ensuring accurate reporting, strong governance and continuous improvement across finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
• Prepare and review management reports, financial statements and business performance analysis
• Manage reconciliations, accruals, journals and balance sheet integrity
• Support external audits and regulatory compliance requirements

Finance Operations & Controls

• Oversee Accounts Payable and financial accounting functions
• Review financial processes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance frameworks
• Ensure accuracy and integrity across financial systems and reporting
• Support aged care and community services funding reconciliation and reporting
• Partner with operational teams to optimise billing and revenue processes
• Monitor working capital, cash flow and collection initiatives
• Identify and address potential revenue leakage opportunities
• Lead, mentor and develop finance team members
• Drive automation and system enhancement initiatives
• Partner with senior leaders to support strategic and operational decision-making
• Improve efficiency, reporting capability and financial performance across the business

About You

You’ll be a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, leading teams and driving improvements.

To be successful, you'll bring:

• CPA or CA qualification
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager or senior accounting leader
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
• Experience managing Accounts Payable and finance operations teams
• Advanced financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting skills
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, governance and compliance
• Experience leading process improvement and systems projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Highly Desirable Experience

Experience within Aged Care, Home Care, Healthcare, Disability or Community Services environments, including:

• Home Care Packages (HCP)
• AN-ACC funding
• Government claiming and funding reconciliation
• Revenue and billing processes

Systems Experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

• NetSuite
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• TechnologyOne
• Xero
• MYOB
• Aged care platforms such as AlayaCare, Carelink, FlowLogic, Cloud Aged Care or similar
