Are you an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager looking for a rewarding temporary opportunity in the residential construction sector? We’re currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team on an initial 9 month maternity leave contract, supporting the financial operations of our growing business.

The Finance Manager will lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the organisation, ensuring its financial health, aiding in decision-making, and improving financial performance and operational efficiency. Reporting to the CEO you will work within the Management Team contributing to the professional culture and overall success of Construct Group.

Reporting directly to the CEO, duties will include, but are not limited to:

Lead the daily transactional functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, taxes, over-run invoices, back charges, reconciliations and the like.

Complete the weekly payroll processing for all internal employees.

Complete the weekly payment processing of all contractors and subcontractors payments.

Handle superannuation and Qleave obligations, ensuring timely contributions and compliance.

Manage all business and vehicle insurances.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Manage the bookkeeping tasks, maintaining organised and up-to-date financial records.

Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting.

Identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations to streamline processes and improve productivity in financial operations.

About You:

To be successful within this role, you are a professional in the field and will have:

Previous experience in a Finance Manager role, ideally within the construction industry

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Able to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proactive, professional approach and positive attitude
