Job summary

Tony Alan Recruitment are seeking a Finance Manager based in Brighton with hybrid working options. This role leads a small team and oversees financial reporting across a multi-entity structure, with a hands-on, growth-focused remit.

You will produce monthly management accounts, manage year-end processes, statutory accounts, and assist external audits as the business expands through acquisition. Office presence is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified, although we will consider candidates who are at finalist level.
• Experienced in producing monthly management accounts, statutory accounts and year-end reporting.
• Technically strong, organised and comfortable taking ownership of the numbers.
• Someone who is keen to develop their career within a growing business.

Responsibilities

• Leading, supporting and developing a team of three, providing day-to-day technical guidance and helping build the team's capability.
• Owning the production of monthly management accounts across the group.
• Overseeing the year-end process and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Supporting the preparation of annual statutory accounts and the external audit process.
• Providing technical accounting support across the wider finance function.
• Helping to maintain and improve financial processes and controls as the business continues to grow through acquisition.
• Working closely with the FC on the ongoing development of the finance function.

Based in Brighton (Hybrid working will be considered, although being office-based is preferred, particularly given the team leadership and hands-on nature of the role.)

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum

Tony Alan Recruitment are looking for a technically strong Finance Manager to join a fast-growing SME business with a current turnover of around £18m on a permanent basis.

The business is expanding rapidly through acquisition with an ambitious growth plan to reach £50m turnover within the next three years. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity to join the business at an exciting stage of its growth and take ownership of its core financial reporting.

You will lead and develop a small team, while taking responsibility for the group's financial reporting across a multi-entity structure. This role will suit someone looking to step up into a Finance Manager role or someone from practice looking for their first commercial role.
