Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day finance operations, drive accuracy in monthly and quarterly reporting, and partner with senior leadership to support commercial decisions.

Reporting to the Finance Controller, you will manage a high-performing team, ensure robust controls and compliance, oversee cash flow and intercompany processes, and coach the finance group to continuously improve processes in Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with proven experience leading and developing Finance teams.
• Strong technical accounting, reporting, controls and compliance experience.
• Broad knowledge across the full Finance function.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Finance operations and a high-performing Finance team.
• Own monthly and quarterly reporting, financial analysis, forecasting and variance reporting.
• Ensure robust financial controls, reconciliations and reporting accuracy.
• Manage cash flow, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet integrity.
• Oversee payroll and key statutory obligations including BAS, FBT, payroll tax and superannuation.
• Lead internal and external audit processes and maintain strong compliance standards.
• Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and improve Finance processes.
• Coach and mentor the Finance team
