Job summary

Select Aust Sydney is seeking an APS6 Finance and Investment Officer to support financial analysis and investment strategy for large infrastructure programs.

Based in Canberra CBD with a 6-month initial contract and potential extension; flexible work-from-home arrangements and Baseline security clearance required. You will deliver financial modelling, prepare executive briefings, and support government reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong background in financial analysis, commercial finance, or investment assurance.
• Ability to translate complex data into executive insights.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Diving deep into complex financial data, investment proposals and capital management plans.
• Reviewing major equity funding requests and conducting commercial financial modeling.
• Crafting briefings and approval documents for senior executives.
• Supporting government reporting including Senate Estimates and value-for-money assessments.
