Job summary

MECCA Brands is seeking a Finance Inventory Manager to lead inventory accounting and reporting for Australia and New Zealand. The role involves ensuring accurate valuation, maintaining audit readiness, and providing leadership to a small team within a fast-paced finance function on a fixed-term basis until November 2027.

You will partner across Retail, Distribution, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to support business initiatives, drive continuous improvement and strengthen balance sheet

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification with significant audit and financial accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including AASB/IFRS and balance sheet governance.
• Experience in inventory accounting, controls and reporting in retail/FMCG/product environment.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams and build stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, landed costs and provisioning for accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure balance sheet governance and month-end and statutory reporting, focusing on inventory accounts.
• Act as a key contact for external audits, driving audit readiness and process improvements.
• Partner with Retail, Distribution, Supply Chain, Commercial and Sustainability teams on inventory performance and reporting.
• Lead and develop a small team and contribute to finance transformations and process improvements.
