Job summary

Recruitment Labs is seeking a Finance Director to lead a multi-entity building services group in Sydney, reporting to the MD and working with PE observers. The role focuses on commercial financial leadership, contract profitability, WIP management and revenue recognition in a fast-growing platform.

You will own forecasting, budgeting, and board-level analysis, and drive acquisition integration and reporting discipline across the group, partnering with operations and technical service lines to

Qualifications

• Senior finance leadership in building services or contracting.
• Strong project accounting understanding and experience.
• Experience with recurring service, maintenance or contract revenue models.
• Confidence operating in a private equity-backed environment with demanding reporting.
• Multi-entity finance experience, including consolidations and intercompany activity.

Responsibilities

• Leading the finance function across a multi-entity building services group.
• Owning management reporting, forecasting, budgeting and board-level financial analysis.
• Providing clear visibility across contract profitability, margin (and driving margin improvement), WIP, and revenue recognition.
• Delivering high-quality reporting, including board packs, KPI reporting, cash flow visibility and performance commentary.
• Supporting acquisition integration, including systems, reporting, controls, entity structure and process alignment.
• Leading, developing and structuring the finance team to support the next stage of growth.
• Acting as a genuine commercial partner to the leadership team and operational leaders across the technical service lines.
