Job summary

Perigon Group Pty Limited is working with a large education sector organisation seeking a Finance Business Partnering professional in Brisbane. You will partner with operational stakeholders, providing financial advice across budgeting, performance, asset management and long-term planning.

This is a commercially focused, stakeholder-facing role rather than pure month-end accounting. You will report into the finance leadership team and travel to operational sites as required, with Brisbane-based

Qualifications

• Experience partnering with operational or non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong accounting/finance background and ability to interpret financial information.
• CA/CPA membership or eligibility for professional membership.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and analytical skills.

Our client is a large, established organisation operating within the education sector, with a significant operational footprint and a centralised corporate support function. The organisation provides finance, operational and strategic support across a broad network of locations. This creates a genuinely varied finance environment where you can work closely with senior stakeholders, influence decision-making and see the impact of your advice across the wider organisation.

About the Role

While the formal title sits within the accounting function, this is very much a Finance Business Partnering position rather than a traditional month-end focused accounting role. Reporting into the finance leadership team, you will partner with a portfolio of operational stakeholders, providing financial advice across budgeting, staffing, financial performance, asset management and long-term planning. A key part of the role will be analysing financial information, challenging assumptions and translating the numbers into practical recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
